Interpreting services

Do you need someone to translate during a speaker’s speech? Whether it’s for international meetings or press conferences, we can simultaneously comprehend in one language and interpret in a second language. This service is also known as simultaneous translation.

How does it work?

With proper equipment inside a booth, we listen to the speaker in one language and deliver the message to the language of the listeners simultaneously.

What are the pros and cons?

Pros: The duration of your event is not affected.

Attendees who do not need an interpreter are not affected.

Cons: Specific audio equipment is required, adding to the expense and space requirement.

The cognitive load during simultaneous interpretation is immense, so for events over one hour, interpreters must work in pairs and switch off every 20 minutes or so. In addition to simultaneous interpretation, there is also the form of whispering interpretation, in which no equipment is used and the interpreter is beside the listener whilst simultaneously interpretation at a low voice tone to save disturbing others. This form of interpretation is only suitable for a small group of listeners and is only suited for shorter events.

The consecutive interpreting, also known as consecutive translation, is a form of translation in which the interpreter speaks after the speaker at pre-determined intervals. Whether it’s for meetings, question-and-answer sessions or one-to-one communication, we are able to translate after hearing several sentences in one language.

How does it work?

After listening to the message and making notes, we convey the message to listeners concisely and accurately, ensuring the key message remains. Due to the cognitive load during consecutive interpretation, for events over one hour, interpreters must work in pairs and switch off every 20 minutes or so.

What are the pros and cons?

Pros: Specific equipment is not required.

Cons: Since the speaker speaks ‘’twice,’’ twice the time is needed for the event.

Are you seeking someone to interpret a meeting between people speaking two different languages? Allow us to be that person for you!

How does it work?

We will accompany you on your visit and translate when needed. For business negotiations, one of our interpreters will accompany you at the table with the negotiating parties.

What are the pros and cons?

Pros: Specific equipment is usually not required.

Cons: It is only suitable for a limited number of listeners.

It is better suited for shorter events.

It can be distracting to the speaker and others.
